Wow that’s amazing, I thought it was fake after seeing them draw on the paper. That alone is ingenious.
Cool. But there must be better things you can do with it than this.
At some point during our lives we go through some emotional hardship, sporadically if you’re blessed with luck and quite commonly throughout otherwise. Be it financial problems, breaking up with ‘the one’ or losing a loved one we can all relate and empathise that we’ve all been there.
Some people deal with it by shutting their emotions away becoming emotionally numb; others vent out in anger hoping in amidst the chaos the pain dissipates, some let their feelings gush out in some torrential downpour of catharsis and some do a combination of all of those things.
But of course you have your friends and your family so surely we’re not as alone as depicted? A notion only verified in the glamour of films and books. When it really comes down to it, sure your friend has just broke up with their partner and of course you’re supporting them doing all you can to ease their discomfort. But honestly would you lose any sleep over it? Would you feel the cold despair that lingers in their heart? Would your appetite for life crumble? Of course not and it would be a most heavy burden if it were.
We come into this world alone and leave alone, ultimately when things don’t go your way, who is responsible? Take a guess. Your friends and family are readily available to praise you, guide you and be a part of hopefully many fond memories but a hug and a cup of tea when the going gets tough isn’t going to help in anyway except boost your caffeine levels.
“Laugh, and the whole world laughs with you. Cry, and you cry alone” a quote from Oldboy (film) which, sums up the portrayal of this blog completely. No one wants extra negativity in their lives, especially since they’re juggling so many of life’s tasks already. Ironically you can take solace in the fact that everyone is experiencing the same ordeals alone thus creating an intangible unity.
For myself, I’m more of the suffer in silence kind of guy, with the occasional vent to get it out of my system, but I sincerely hope you live as much a happy life as is possible, not just for your sake but for your loved ones too.
